First, I love their pastel floral wallpaper; it immediately drew me in and added so much visual fun to my browsing experience. You know how you go window shopping sometimes just to enjoy all of the vibrancy around you.
And I love their byline... The Artsypreneur - Featuring fabulous...fresh...fun...funk... finds Monday-Friday. That says it all.
And Madge, the curator, has excellent taste and I'm not just saying that because I'm featured. I saying that because, I will be sure to drop by regularly.
I haven't posted here in a while because I've been so busy designing and managing a flurry of orders at my Etsy shop. So I have decided to start a new blog Called Clear Rubber Stamp of the Day to post my latest designs. I will still post here of course, but now I feel a bit more organized.
And I'm starting backwards by making the first Clear Rubber Stamp of the Day the last one that I designed. It is a "Handmade By" stamp and is designed for those who sell handmade products. Click here to check it out!
Yay! Scribbling was featured on Willie & Henrietta on July 27th; we're part of their weekly giveaway. It's a stylish blog that features fashionable and beautifully crafted items for children. You should definitely check it out!
Yeah, I sure could use some chocolate right now. But I went to the gym today so I'd rather not ruin it, all that hard work. And trust me because it was so hard I crave a small piece of chocolate to cheer me up.
Okay. So. I am probably the last person you would expect to post info, let alone a tip, about being frugal. After all, I am known to let her rip when shopping. But, I was thinking the other day, the last day I went shopping. I was thinking about how much money I spent and how little I got in return. And I was thinking about how big my beady little eyes grew when the cashier announced the total. It was double what I expected. As usual I didn't make a scene but I did wonder what in the world was I doing. Again.
What I was doing was shopping, something I try to avoid since frankly I am not good at letting go and leaving it on the shelf. Later I thought about it and came up with this. Before I check out, put half my stuff back. Then I won't be nearly as surprised or disappointed.
So Frugality Tip # 1 is Divide by 2.
If you're anything like me, you'll be glad you did!
So I've been designing my first line of custom name clear polymer rubber stamps. My first priority is to make them cute. This is actually my second design and I like it a lot better than the first, if only because it just works better for a stamp design. It's rounder and the face is a better focal point. Now that I have the design my next step is to actually make the stamp and if all goes well then I will list it in my etsy store.
This is a sticker I designed to be used as a label. Just a cute way to say thank you. It's a doily with pale colors and a touch of girly flair, plus I usually try to keep my line work pretty simple. There's always someone to thank so I thought why not send a simple but pretty thank you with an added dose of "pretty happy you did that!" I guess this one is especially designed for a person who would like to
customize their thank you with a personal or business name.
This is my take on handmade. Okay. Make it cute. Make it funny. Make it subtle but seen. So I designed what I call a flower face since the eyes are flowers. Then I let the handmade speak for itself. This one is from a sticker set and is designed for crafty crafters who sell handmade goods.
